@DataRepublican @JDVance I've often connected the creation of the CIA & DOD with Operation Paperclip, in my mind.

Operation Paperclip rescued 1600 Nazis from Germany in 1945 ... and two years later, some very Nazi-like institutions sprouted up in the United States.
