Altcoins are going crazy right now, and it’s not just hype.

Open interest on top altcoins just hit an all-time high of $45B.

That means traders are piling in with more leverage than ever before.

And it’s not just one sector, every major crypto sector has outperformed Bitcoin over the past week. AI tokens, DeFi, gaming, meme coins, you name it, they’re all running hotter than BTC.

Even Ethereum’s perpetual volume dominance has flipped Bitcoin for the first time since 2022, showing traders are shifting focus away from BTC.

Meanwhile, ETH holders are not selling. 

The cost basis heatmap shows strong hands sitting on positions above $2.4K and holding tight as price pushes higher.

This mix of broad altcoin strength + heavy leverage + diamond hands on ETH is powerful, but it’s also risky. 

When everyone rushes in at once, volatility spikes, and what goes up fast, often comes down even faster.

For now, alts are leading the show. Just be ready for sharper swings.
