It's a tough pill to swallow and it is a hard sell to current and future pensioners. To explain to them that their pension pot has already been spent by reckless governments of the past. That they aren't really entitled to anything because our traitorous leaders chose to spend money on anyone abroad and insane amounts of welfare rather. We need an offramp because if we are to truthfully tell people that Tories and Labour have spent all your money and you aren't entitled to anything - we would need Nuremberg style trials and punishment if we are to stop the nation descending into chaos. And we need an offramp for the benefits culture that Labour has started and Tories continued. Because those people will also riot if you were to cut them off. Not a pretty outcome, on any timeline, especially with a hostile state and civil service in charge. That they aren't really entitled to anything because our traitorous leaders chose to spend money on anyone abroad and insane amounts of welfare rather.
We need an offramp because if we are to truthfully tell people that Tories and Labour have spent all your money and you aren't entitled to anything - we would need Nuremberg style trials and punishment if we are to stop the nation descending into chaos.
And we need an offramp for the benefits culture that Labour has started and Tories continued. Because those people will also riot if you were to cut them off.
Not a pretty outcome, on any timeline, especially with a hostile state and civil service in charge.
