That's a venomous green pit viper. The old man/woman is suffering from multiple sclerosis and some Southeast Asian people believe that a the venom of this snake can cure it. I don't think it will work and I won't recommend it.

Although snake venoms are being researched for the treatment of various health conditions, including MS, what is used is purified targeted part of the toxin, not the crude one. A crude bite like this can contain a cocktail of different venoms which can cause other problems in the body
