Short dated synthetic long positions getting smashed and it’s no surprise. 

The key is he’s looking out a decade per the ER presentation on BTC torque. 

So yes directionally long fighting upstream short term probably not the best bet. 

But the longer the duration the more powerful the lever. 

All about perspective.
