Melton had 56Ks in XX innings pitched in AAA this season, with a XXXX% chase rate and XX% whiff%. The scare with him is that he is pretty much Dinger or Strikeout, as his batted ball metrics are not ideal either. However, with Skubal on Paternity leave until Saturday and Mize only going X innings yesterday, Detroit is going to need to get as many innings as possible from him. He’s fully stretched out throwing XX pitches his last start.
