Fine, I’ll address the asinine argument head-on: any military action in Gaza can be prevented if Hamas surrenders and releases the hostages. The Jews of Europe had no militia, not even the Allies surrendering would have prevented their systemic slaughter.  There is no such thing as a genocide wherein the party acting on behalf of the victims can demilitarize and the violence would stop.   That’s called a war. And saying otherwise is a vile smear.
