Just XX days after Scale AI was acquired by Meta for $14B, a16z is backing Poseidon, a crypto-native ScaleAI competitor built on @StoryProtocol. Why?

AI compute and foundation models are already a multi-trillion dollar market.

 → GPUs: Nvidia ($4T+), AMD ($255B)
 → Models: OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, and others worth $500B+ combined

But the last and largest input is still unsolved: data. And its scarce. Data is the fuel for AI innovate.

Meta acquires scale for $14B -> Models cancelling their contracts with Scale -> New battlefield for data.

Poseidon is what Scale would’ve been if it ran onchain, coordinated globally, and solved for IP.

Big win for @psdnai, which just raised $15M led by @a16zcrypto to power physical AI with rights-cleared, real-world data, licensed and monetized via @StoryProtocol.
