JPMorgan is planning to offer loans backed by cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum as soon as next year, according to the Financial Times.

Right now, the bank already lets clients borrow money using crypto ETFs like BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust.

This move would expand JPMorgan’s push into crypto, a big shift for CEO Jamie Dimon, who once called Bitcoin a “fraud.”

Last week, Dimon also said the bank wants to do more with stablecoins, even though he still questions how useful they really are compared to regular payments.
