You also scored the same number of goals as 17th placed Tottenham, less than Brentford & Brighton, last season.

Balancing the two was a real problem for Chelsea last year and a big part of that was an inability to rely on your back four and GK.

None of that has changed. Chelsea are not serious title contenders, though they may do as they did last year (start well and fall away at Christmas).
