By rescheduling marijuana President Trump will be championing an issue supported by a large and ever growing majority of the US voting population.

Marijuana prohibition has been used by and prolonged by cartels who enrich and entrench themselves while denying access of the broader community to a plant with proven medicinal use that does not lead to lethal overdoses and from which you cannot lethally withdrawal. Federally backed regulatory frameworks that will be allowed for the first time after rescheduling will further protect communities. 

Home run. Flips the script, weaken the cartels, and solidifies President Trump’s pro reform legacy.
