We encourage them to step up. We help them step up. I do NOT understand why every big CPA firm does not do this. We are a firm of XX and our policy is this for those who want to become a CPA: Note there are zero restrictions. We claw nothing back. We do NOT require you to work for us for a specific amount of time. We pay for the review course of your choice. We reimburse the fees for you to take the exam. We pay you eight hours to take each section of the exam as many times as needed. You are NOT to come in to the office and this pay does NOT count against your PTO. The day you are officially a CPA you get a $X an hour raise above and beyond other raises. Note we pay overtime as well so this likely equates to a $XXXXX a year pay bump. You also get a $XXXXX bonus and we throw a party for you at a restaurant or in our office if that is what you prefer. Plus ones are invited. I post about this every so often.
