I noticed something interesting on the @binance website. It could be nothing but a glitch, but when you go to search and type in $DOG (DOG) the window disappears. 

Now if you go and do that for PENGU, DOGE, or other coins that are listed, obviously you get a dropdown like this below. 

Now go and try TOSHI (a coin not listed by Binance) and you still get a drop down that pops up and says "TOSHI"

Might be nothing, might be something.
