A passively managed ETF tracks an index and has quarterly rebalancing whereas an actively managed ETF has a fund manager that makes decisions about which holdings the fund holds.  The fund manager can decide what to buy and sell within the portfolio at any given time (as opposed to quarterly) but it does not necessarily mean treating it like a day trading account 😅. If the underlying holdings had more liquidity then imo Dan would more actively manage to holdings but with large positions and very little liquidity it is more challenging to do some trading and rebalancing without impacting the market price too much in either direction. 😊🥂
