Trump’s big trade deal with Japan is once again form over substance. U.S. tariffs paid by Americans on Japanese goods will drop from XX% to 15%, and Japan will match that rate on U.S. car imports. The $550B investment is just a policy goal, not a legally enforceable commitment.
