#India’s aluminium scrap imports rose to XXXX million tonnes in Q1 2025, with significant gains from UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the UK, indicating a diversification away from US dependence. Imports from the UAE grew 20.37%, Saudi Arabia 37%, and the UK XXXXX% year-on-year. Meanwhile, US scrap exports to India dropped 16.07%. Strengthening trade ties and agreements like CEPA and FTA with UAE and UK are driving this shift in sourcing strategy.
