They are more expensive to produce. The question is: are they as more expensive to produce locally than to import post tariffs? That's left to be seen but we won't know before months for time to shift production locally. But if the U.S. has to produce raw material locally, it will also be more expensive as if it wasn't, it would have been done before already.
