The signing ceremony was attended by SSB President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün. Designed to enhance the Turkish Naval Forces' operational readiness, the four new OPVs will play key roles in: - Intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance - Protection of Exclusive Economic Zones - Search and rescue, counter-terrorism, and anti-piracy - Maritime control and special operations - Amphibious crisis response and non-combat missions The first two vessels will be delivered in XX months, with the remaining two in XX months. The program further supports Türkiye’s indigenous defense industry, combining proven design with strategic value.
