Russia’s regional wage gap has hit a record high: ₽182,000 ($2,330) between the richest and poorest parts of the country. But average ruble incomes are up XX% year-on-year, RBK reports.👇

The highest average official salary is in Chukotka ($2,855 monthly) and the lowest in Ingushetia ($525).

The national average is ₽97K ($1,240).

Other top-paying regions: Yamalo-Nenets, Moscow, Magadan, all over $XXXXX.
Meanwhile at the other end of the scale, in Chechnya, Dagestan & Ossetia: $560–$650.

⚠️ Caveat: Russia’s informal economy is vast — 30–40% of GDP. Many incomes are off the books. Real earnings may be much higher than the official stats suggest.
