While Kos is divisive, the underlying problem remains: the wartime dismantling of anti-corruption bodies undermines the rule of law and calls into question EU funding and the accession process, as already pointed out by the Netherlands, Hungary, Slovakia, and others. The issue is political and structural, not personal.
