Pierre Gasly places a bouquet of flowers trackside at Spa-Francorchamps every year as a tribute to his close friend Anthoine Hubert, who tragically lost his life in a crash during the F2 feature race at Spa on August 31, 2019.

Gasly and Hubert were childhood friends who came up through the French karting and junior racing ranks together. Their bond was very strong they trained, traveled, and grew up in the motorsport world side by side. Hubert’s death deeply affected Gasly and the entire racing community.
