He fits Matheus Cunha & Bryan Mbeumo to a tee, whether it's latching onto Cunha's passes in behind, or Mbeumo's crosses. He ticks a lot of boxes. A Premier League proven player who can be a bridge to Chido Obi or another striker in a couple of years, who has averaged XX goals in the PL the last X seasons. Aston Villa missed Champions League, their financial situation means they need sales. Manchester United can use this to their advantage in negotiations. Watkins is XX but has a good injury record with no long term absences, though muscle injuries are creeping in. This bodes well for how he'll age with his play style. It's the deal that makes the most sense, depending on how outgoings & total sales finish up.
