Transformation from BitDAO to @Mantle_Official :

X. Start - BitDAO:
BitDAO was a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) that aimed to invest in Web3 projects. ITS TOKEN WAS $BIT.

X. Steps towards Modular Blockchain:
BitDAO felt that instead of just being a DAO, it would be more beneficial to build its own Layer X network - especially to solve Ethereum's scalability.

X. Mantle Network's announcement:
In 2023, BitDAO launched its Layer X rollup chain – named Mantle Network. It is Ethereum-compatible and built on the OP Stack of Optimism.

X. Token Migration ($BIT → $MNT):
In June-July 2023, the $BIT token was migrated to $MNT.
• Exchanged at 1:1 ratio
• $MNT has now become the native gas token of Mantle Network

X. Unified Ecosystem:
Now the entire BitDAO treasury, governance and ecosystem has become unified under the brand of Mantle. Mantle Treasury still has $3B+ funds that are looking into ecosystem growth.
