Bastogne 
1944

During the siege of Bastogne, PFC Terry Ellis was the last man standing in his foxhole. He watched friends fall one by one around him. 
When the battle paused at dawn, he climbed from the trench and raised a tattered American flag from his pack and saluted in silence. "I wasn't honoring a country," he said, "I was honoring them."
