My issue: I couldn't stop working, I was trapped in a "I need to be productive" loop My psychiatrist: "take antidepressants" So I started taking Sertralin. First 5mg, then 10mg. Then I couldn't sleep at night: I would just wake up unable to sleep again. Then my libido started to feel lower. All side effects my psychiatrist wouldn't tell me I only found out online. At the same time I stopped side building, And took time for myself on the weekend. I started feeling better. Was it the meds or me changing my routine? Now, after X months I stopped taking Sertralin (after consulting my psychiatrist) And I got side effects again: I feel dizzy a lot and I get "brain zaps". This is going on since X weeks, My psych told me it would be over in 3-5 days. I get that in some cases meds are the only way to get normal life again. But my advice: if there is any other way (e.g. changing your habits, going to gym), choose this instead. You're saving yourself a lot of trouble.
