Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles was rebuilt from the ground up as they no longer had the original source code!

They could of used an emulator for the Classic version but instead they reverse engineered the game and rebuilt it in order to make granular refinements that ensured the game met modern playability standards
