This is a precis of Chapter X of the book” The Lebanese Connection: corruption, civil war,and the International drug Traffic” by Jonathan Marshall of Stanford University.  The book is banned in Lebanon . I imagine that one reason for the ban is its indictment of almost every major Lebanese political scion.
