Norris tells himself: “The title is my dream, but I don't want to be remembered for that. The higher pressure? Abu Dhabi 2024”

— Lando Norris expressed that while winning a World Championship is his dream, he does not want to be solely remembered for that achievement. Speaking to media, Norris shared:

“The title is my dream, but I don't want to be remembered for that. The highest pressure? Abu Dhabi 2024”

— Norris emphasized his love for driving as the primary reason he started racing, rather than the pursuit of victories. He explained:

“Every individual has their dreams and aspirations. And of course, mine is to win and climb to the top step. But I started racing only because I love to drive, not because I wanted to win a race.”

— He highlighted the importance of team success over personal accolades, stating:

“Even if XX% is in winning and climbing to the top step, there is a sense of accomplishment within the team, making team members happy, giving them what they work hard for, rather than a sense of self-fulfillment. My biggest source of motivation is my team.”

— Reflecting on pressure, Norris recounted the intense pressure he felt during the Abu Dhabi race last season, which was more about the team's success than his own battle for the title:

“The moment when I felt the greatest pressure was Abu Dhabi last season... simply because at that moment I felt like I had the whole team on my shoulders. A lot of people, at that time, are depending on you to win the championship or not. You can make them very happy or not. And I knew I had to do it. That was a good story. So it was a pleasure to be a part of it.”
