In Moldova, four pro-russian parties have announced a merger aimed at “overthrowing the current government.”

Leaders of the Party of Socialists, the Party of Communists, the Heart of Moldova party, and the Future of Moldova party declared plans to form a united electoral bloc.

Party of Socialists leader Igor Dodon said their goal is to “build a patriotic bloc.” Meanwhile, the head of Heart of Moldova sharply criticized the current government and stated that the bloc would not form a coalition with PAS in the next parliament.

The party leaders avoided directly answering journalists’ questions about whether the idea for the bloc originated in russia.
