Every single $RKLB satellite explained briefly👇🏻:

X. Photon 🛰️

Rocket Lab’s first satellite bus.
Think of it as a smart upper stage, it carries payloads to orbit and deeper space.
Used by NASA to send a CubeSat to the Moon.
Ideal for low cost missions to LEO or lunar orbit.
💰$10–15M

X. Explorer🛰️

A deep space version of Photon.
Bigger fuel tanks, more delta-v.
This is the one that will be going to Mars (NASA’s ESCAPADE) and Venus (LifeFinder).
For science missions that need to go far.
💰 Bus cost $5–10M | Total mission: ≤ $55M

X. Pioneer 🛰️

Built for rendezvous, proximity ops & reentry.
Carries bigger payloads (up to XXX kg).
Used by Space Force in VICTUS HAZE and Varda for in space manufacturing.
Think: tactical, agile, and can bring stuff back.
💰 $15–20M

X. Lightning 🛰️

Rocket Lab’s high-power bus for constellations.
3kW of power, 12-year lifespan.
Being used by Globalstar and SDA.
Ideal for high-throughput comms or Earth observation fleets.
💰 $8–12M

X. Flatellite 🛰️

Their Starlink style, stackable bus.
As the name indicates it, this is a Flat and light satellite, built to launch XX at a time on Neutron.
Made for mega-constellations with optical crosslinks.
Still in development, but key for scaling.
💰 Estimated: < $5M per unit
