I blame the right ring media. They didn't report on it. Instead, they attacked it as hard as the dems did. They talked about gun suppressors, or parliamentarians or some other small issue and didn't explain the fundamental change the obbb would bring. Mostly because they didnt want to give Trump the win. They didn't explain that it codified much of the Trump agenda, especially the illegal immigration, military, and tax cut promises. They didn't explain it changed the entire direction of Medicaid that the dems were using to do a back door universal Healthcare not just for illegals but for everyone which will change the entire direction of our deficits and debt. They didn't explain the energy policies it codified that basically ended the new green scam. They used the dem talking points as gospel and embraced them as if truth. The same people that bitched and moaned for months about congress not codifiying the agenda went radio silent when congress codified the agenda. I'm so fed up with our supposed allies in the new media. They aren't any different than our old enemies in the old media. They won't inform the people about what is actually going on. That's okay. Trump and his team will do what needs to be done in spite of them. In the last XX years, Congress has passed over XXXXXX bills, but only a few really changed the direction of the country. The OBBB will be talked about in the history books alongside bills like the 1965 immigration bill that started the new wave of mass migration that changed our society, the highway program of Ike that opened up the country, FDR slate of new deal legislation and LBJ "great society" and Bill Clinton's law that moved to abandon the utopia of that great society and require work. The obbb like those bills is indeed legislation that will change the direction of the country. And the right wing media was navel gazing and talking about gun suppressors and fake imaginary debt limits as if that was as profound as changing taxes on tips and overtime or fully funding border security for the first time in our history as a nation.
