Suddenly, Israel decided to commit a few new war crimes in the midst of unprecedented diplomacy, as pointed out by @Gharibabadi today. Wouldn’t the Middle East calm down a little if the US + EU would temporarily pause all sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran and related entities + individuals UNTIL Iran starts enriching Uranium again on the basis of the @iaeaorg monitoring the destroyed sites? This is what I concluded as a solution from the Fox News interview with the Iranian FM. X. Pause all sanctions X. Iran doesn’t start enriching again but doesn’t give away its right to do so X. Direct diplomatic negotiations and relationship establishment of Iran and the U.S. How I see this potentially end if the war restarts: One might see a counterpart to NATO emerge with Russia and China providing a nuclear umbrella, potentially making Turkey leave NATO for this alternate defence alliance. Does @RTErdogan really think that NATO would defend it if Israel ever decides to expand into his territory? We all know the answer to that question. At the same time, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia will slip into an interesting situation. Pakistan would likely also join this alliance to deter India and not get left alone as it’s not part of BRICS, the way India is. This defence alliance is everything needed for the Silk and Road Initiative of China to succeed. So many potential futures unfold when Iranian territory, waters or lives are at stake. The EU might have to beg Erdogan to join the EU to avoid this… is this really the position @bundeskanzler wants to negotiate from? Perhaps it’s time to admit that this “dirty work” did the EU more dirty than anyone else!
