That’s still more agricultural “workers” retiring. I put “workers” in quotes because this is more a reflection of non-productive excess workforce that has not yet been able to be absorbed into the modern workforce.

China’s true/relevant unemployment rate was never its official urban unemployment rate but this excess non-productive labor on the farms.
