Next-generation CPUs are expected to support DDR6 starting from 2026. It is projected to be adopted in AI servers, HPC systems, and high-end notebooks. The preliminary specification for DDR6 is expected to be finalized by the end of 2024, with the LPDDR6 preliminary specification to be released in Q2 2025. It is slated to enter platform testing and validation phases from 2026.
