I beyond loved Heath Ledger’s Joker as it was a great performance . . . but not as much with Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker as I personally didn’t get the same unpredictable guy who is crazy enough and especially not physical enough to do anything vibe to live up to the hype and praise for his character/accolades he received in my opinion (and I know it’s a origin story but still). Similar to Taxi Driver or The King of Comedy with De Niro (maybe I just like crazy but not so much crazy-crazy as in mental illness on the big screen). Personally I found it excruciating and very hard to watch, not enjoyable at all to be honest but I do love his work on many other films besides this and the sequel. Just my (un)paid, honest, (not an) expert opinion . . . so (don’t) trust me.
