Lucid has a partnership with Electrify America where they have had reoccurring and long-standing deals where you got 1-3 years or 1000kW of complimentary charging.

EA gets money from idle fees, congestion fees, and of course once the deal ends.

If you make one option a pain or unattractive, you'll obviously gravitate toward the other, whether it's intentionally by design or just a lack of effort in technical ingenuity/retrofits.
