They never permanently lived in the Tarim Basin like Dzungars, Mongols, and Uyghurs did. Stop getting your history lessons from the CCP and stop arguing like Zionists. Uyghurs have established empires and always lived in the Tarim and Yarish Basin. You think it was always called "Xinjiang" lmao? You're chinese you should know that translates to "New Territory" which is what the Qing Dynasty renamed it to after they annexed the territory. It was called East Turkistan and we had our own nation state before that. Han settlers established themselves and went from a small portion of the population to now being 40+% of the population, a clear, textbook example of settler colonialism.
