Zelensky finally speaks. And he digs in, claiming his move today to consolidate power and destroy independent investigative bodies was about purging Russian spies. “The anti-corruption infrastructure will operate. But only without Russian influences – everything must be cleansed of that.”

He also suggests NABU and SAPO weren’t doing their jobs efficiently: “And there must be more justice. Of course, NABU and SAPO will continue to work. And it is important that the Prosecutor General is committed to ensuring real inevitability of punishment in Ukraine for those who break the law. And that is what Ukraine truly needs. Cases that have been stagnant must be investigated.”
