Palworld is graphically and mechanically better than Pokemon imo. You can't merely copy something and have it be the success that Palworld is. The problem is the games arent the priority for TPC the merchandise and the anime are and the games are in service of those two things so they arent a priority. You could even have X Pokemon teams, have Gamefreak make one and Pocketpair make the other.
