@ref_andrew @realtimstevens The song "Black Sabbath", from which the band name is taken, is a warning against the occult. 

As are a number of their songs. 

Most often they were not glorifying evil. They were describing it in horrific terms. 

"Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" type thing.
