I’ve been seeing it since 2K16. post up, teammate wraps around, defender gets stuck, someone gets open. But it’s definitely more popular this year, and that’s for a few reasons: X. Centers can have super high pass accuracy now. When a big has higher pass acc, it’s way harder to recover to off-ball movement. You can’t get back to the guard like you could before when they had a XX or lower pass acc. X. Tall guards aren’t as viable. In past 2Ks, you could run a 6’6 - 6’8 guard and just switch everything to stop it. That’s not really an option this year unless you want to be bad on offense. X. Dexxing is way stronger. Having XX speed, agility, and a XX three used to be unheard of. Now the best shooters can have all of it. X. You can’t really punish it. In older 2Ks, bringing out a slow big meant getting torched, teams would go 7/7 on you. This year, people miss more due to RNG, so teams can get away with it.
