That is absolutely not the case. SpaceX had to overcome the massive defense primes of Boeing, Lockheed, and ULA which is an amalgamation of the prior two to get its foot in the door for space launch. Companies like Rocket Lab and Blue Origin are not new, Rocket Lab is doing well for itself in small launch but it hasn’t yet moved to heavy launch where the real contenders are. Blue Origin was created before SpaceX and is only now having test flights for its first orbital launch vehicle. SpaceX has achieved market dominance because it upended the usual way of business within Space launch and now the its competitors are forced to adopt its strategies in order to compete.
