This is a clever way to eliminate loyalists or those sitting on the fence while he strengthens his position. It’s strategically brilliant, but in an extremely dark way.

Now we have an American businessman running messages between Israel and Syria. Julani isn’t playing around.

He is seizing ground faster than I expected. I won’t lie, I think he might be the most clever warlord of this generation.

Right now, he is arguably the most dangerous single figure in the Middle East, maybe second only to Netanyahu.

Julani may have a genius level mind, fused with years of battlefield experience. He’s now using it to build a state.

It's a little exciting for strategists, and yet I'm worried. It's so fascinating.
