These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.” "Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes,” he added. “These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio." The statement comes as Trump is desperately attempting to fabricate absurd “treason” allegations against Obama. Earlier today, he accused the former president of being the "ringleader" of a criminal plot to "rig an election" and "lead a coup." He also accused Obama of being "sedatious," which was presumably a mispronunciation of "seditious." Last week Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released declassified materials that she allged prove that Obama and top aides "manufactured and politicized intelligence" connected to Russian efforts to undermine the 2016 election in order "to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President Trump." Predictably, there was no substance to the accusations and no evidence of wrongdoing on Obama’s part in the documents.
