In February, Iraq announced they will adopt a CBDC, a centralized digital currency controlled by their central bank, and emphasized that this CBDC is not a cryptocurrency. They banned cryptocurrencies in 2017 and stated that all transactions will be processed through the central bank, so a decentralized digital currency like RLUSD is not an option.
