A big day for the North East.

I promised to fight child poverty. Today we’re taking action with £28.6m for a North East Child Poverty Action Plan🎉

That means more families receiving baby boxes, grants for pregnant Mams, youth clubs to help build skills for work and much more.

Thank you to the families and team at the wonderful Chowdene Family Hub for showing us around and talking to us today.
