NEW TOP DEMOCRAT ON HOUSE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE'S FEDERAL SECRETS TASK FORCE: REP. JASMINE CROCKETT

On June 24, Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives elected Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) as the new ranking minority member on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. This promotion required Garcia to give up the ranking spot on the committee's Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets. 

Today, the Oversight Committee revised its website to show Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) as elevated to the ranking minority slot on the Task Force. However, there has not yet been an official announcement of this change from either side of the committee.

Task Force Chair Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has indicated that the Task Force will hold a public hearing related to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena sometime in September.
