the best bet for GPT-5 release is august

it was recently spotted in a biotech repo as "gpt-5 reasoning", and sam said it's releasing soon

o3-alpha (maybe their open-weight) is claimed to be SOTA coding model

openAI just launched "ChatGPT Agent", so no need to drop gpt-5 yet

so august makes the most sense
