I like the guiding wave concept.

Not that I understand it, but at least it lets me have real particles / photons!

Wave-particle duality is beyond my brain to comprehend.

And I'm an undergrad physics major. I studied this stuff!

From Grok:

In quantum mechanics, the pilot wave concept is primarily associated with the de Broglie-Bohm theory. It goes by a few names, including:

- Pilot Wave Theory - Emphasizes the guiding wave that directs particle motion.

- Bohmian Mechanics - Named after David Bohm, who developed the theory further in the 1950s.

- de Broglie-Bohm Theory - Acknowledges Louis de Broglie's original proposal in 1927, later refined by Bohm.

- Causal Interpretation - Refers to its deterministic approach to quantum mechanics, contrasting with the standard probabilistic interpretation.

- Nonlocal Hidden Variables Theory - Highlights the nonlocal nature and hidden variables (particle positions) in the theory.

These terms are used interchangeably in the literature, though "de Broglie-Bohm Theory" and "Bohmian Mechanics" are the most common.
