WHAT ARE VALIDATORS AND HOW TO THEY HELP @Somnia_Network  FUNCTION

Validators are participants or nodes in a blockchain network, primarily in Proof of Stake (PoS) systems, responsible for validating transactions and adding new blocks to the blockchain. They ensure that transactions are genuine, the sender has sufficient funds, and that no double spending occurs, thus maintaining the security, integrity, and accuracy of the blockchain ledger.

Validators in Somnia run independent blockchains called data chains, producing blocks without waiting on others. These data chains asynchronously publish transactions, avoiding bottlenecks. A separate consensus chain regularly collects the latest state from all validators data chains and orders all transactions using a PBFT based proof of stake consensus. This decouples block production from finalization, allowing ultrafast, parallel transaction processing.

This Multistream Consensus enables validators to work independently, drastically increasing throughput. Somnia also compiles EVM bytecode to native x86 code, exploiting hardware parallelism within single cores for faster sequential execution, avoiding parallelization issues when many transactions target the same contract.
